Sweet Potato Crisp
Sweet Potato Crisp is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 medium sized or 1 (29 oz.) can sweet potatoes, 1/2 c. margarine, 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar and 1 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook sweet potatoes; peel and slice crosswise, about 3/8-inch thick.
Spread in a greased shallow 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Cut margarine into flour and brown sugar as you would in making a pie crust.
Add pepper, milk and ground nuts; mix well.
Spread over potato slices.
Broil about 6-inches from heat until bubbly and carmelized, about 7 minutes.
