Swedish Meatballs II
Swedish Meatballs Ii is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 slices white bread, crumbled, 1 tbsp. instant onion, minced, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. nutmeg and 3/4 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Combine bread, onion, salt, pepper, nutmeg and milk in large bowl.
Let stand 10 minutes; stir in meat until well blended.
Form into 1 1/2-inch balls.
Brown in butter in large frying pan.
Remove with draining spoon and place in baking dish.
Blend flour into drippings in pan.
Stir in beef broth, water and milk.
Continue cooking until it thickens and makes a thin gravy.
Pour over meatballs.
Bake in 325Β° oven for 30 minutes.
