Swedish Heirloom Cookies
Swedish Heirloom Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. crisco, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened, 1 c. powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cream shortening and butter until light and fluffy.
Add 1 cup powdered sugar and salt and cream well.
Blend in flour.
Add water and vanilla; mix well.
Stir in pecans.
Shape into 1-inch balls and slightly flatten.
Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 325Β° for 12 to 15 minutes, until done.
Roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
Makes 8 dozen.
