Sugar Cookies
Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. sifted plain flour, 2 tsp. cream of tartar, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt into mixing bowl. Cut in shortening until it is a very fine crumb.
Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla.
Add to flour mixture.
Mix well.
Shape into balls about the size of a walnut.
Place on cookie sheet 2-inches apart. Flatten each with bottom of a small glass tumbler covered with a dampened cloth.
(Or you may first dip the bottom of the tumbler in oil and then in sugar.)
Bake in moderate oven (375Β°) about 8 to 10 minutes, until light brown.
Yield: 3 dozen cookies.
