Stuffed Green Peppers
Stuffed Green Peppers is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 large green peppers, 1 c. boiling salted water, 1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce, 1/2 lb. ground beef and 1 c. cracker crumbs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Heat oven to 350Β°.
Cut a thin slice from the stem end of each pepper.
Wash outside and inside.
Remove all seed and membranes. Cook peppers in boiling salted water 5 minutes.
Drain.
Mix rest of ingredients.
Stuff peppers lightly with meat mixture.
Stand upright in small baking dish.
Bake covered 45 minutes.
Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer.
I top with a slice of cheese after baking.
