Strawberry Meringue Torte
Strawberry Meringue Torte is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. graham cracker crumbs, 3 tbsp. sugar, 1/4 c. melted margarine, 1/2 c. chopped pecans and 1/2 c. whipping cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Combine graham crackers, sugar, margarine and pecans; press into bottom of 10-inch spring-form pan.
Bake in a 325Β° oven for 10 minutes.
Slice enough berries to make 2 cups.
Combine in large bowl with sugar, egg whites, lemon juice, vanilla and salt. Beat on low speed to blend, then high speed until firm peaks form, about 15 minutes.
Fold whipped cream into berry mixture.
Pour into cold baked crust.
Cover and freeze until very firm.
To serve, remove pan sides, arrange rest of berries on top or sides.
