Sugar with shortening until fluffy, add eggs and blend well.
Together flour, cinnamon, soda and nutmeg. Add alternately milk to creamed mixture.
Fold in jam and bake in greased muffin pans in moderate oven (375Β°) for 20 to 25 minutes.
Remove frost with any favorite frosting.
Makes 20 cupcakes.
