Strawberry Delight
Strawberry Delight is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans, 10 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed or 1 1/2 c. sliced fresh strawberries, 2 egg whites and 1/3 c. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine flour, brown sugar, pecans and margarine.
Bake at 350Β° for 20 minutes in a 9-inch square pan, stirring often.
Let cool.
Combine strawberries, sugar, lemon juice and egg whites. Beat at high speed on mixer for about 20 minutes or until light and fluffy.
Fold whipped cream into strawberries.
Remove 1/3 of crumbs from pan.
Pat remaining crumbs into smooth layer.
Pour strawberry mixture over crumbs in pan and sprinkle reserved crumbs over top.
Freeze.
Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
