Strawberry Cheese Pie

Prepare topping mix with milk and vanilla as directed on package.
Whip cheese until soft, beat in sugar, then blend in topping.
Into crust; scoop out center and mound high at edges; refrigerate.
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Drain berries, measuring syrup and enough water to make 1/2 cup. Stir strawberries into gelatin. Chill until syrupy. Spoon gelatin into pie shell, leaving a narrow rim of filling around edge.
Chill until set, about 3 hours.
