Sift flour with salt and baking powder.
Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add milk and mix just until dough follows fork around bowl.
Turn out on lightly floured surface; knead gently 2 minutes.
Roll or pat 1/2-inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 450Β°.
Cook 10 minutes.
