Standard Biscuits
Standard Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 3/4 c. milk, 1 stick oleo or butter, softened, 1 tsp. salt and 3 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Sift flour with salt and baking powder.
Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add milk all at once and mix just until dough follows fork around bowl.
Turn out on floured surface; knead gently 1/2 minute.
Roll or pat 1/2-inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in hot oven (450Β°) 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes 16 medium sized biscuits.
