Squash Casserole
Squash Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 to 7 large squash, 1 large onion, chopped, 2 c. cornbread crumbs, 1 egg and 1 stick melted butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Wash squash and slice.
Boil squash in pan along with 1/2 cup chopped onion, sugar, salt and pepper.
Boil for 15 to 20 minutes; drain.
Pour squash into casserole dish.
Mash lightly.
Add 1/2 of cornbread, egg, 1/2 melted butter and the rest of the onions.
Mix. Pour the other half of the cornbread crumbs on top of casserole. Pour remaining butter on top of cornbread.
Cook for 45 minutes at 375Β°.
