Split Pea Soup
Split Pea Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. dry green split peas, 1 c. chopped ham, 2 chicken bouillon cubes, 8 c. water and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

In a stockpot, combine peas, ham, onion, bouillon, water, salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil.
Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring frequently.
Add carrots and celery and simmer 30 more minutes. Stir margarine into soup and heat through.
Serve.
Makes 8 servings.
