Spicy Peaches In Syrup is an easy dinner. Made with 2 (29 oz.) cans peach halves in heavy syrup, drained, reserve syrup, 1/2 c. white vinegar, 6 cinnamon sticks and 1/4 tsp. allspice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Place peach halves in two 1 quart jars.
In medium saucepan, combine reserved peach syrup, vinegar, cinnamon and allspice. Bring to a boil. Pour syrup over peaches in jar.
Cover. Refrigerate at least 8 hours to blend flavors.
Serve as an accompaniment for ham or pork.
Yields 16 servings.
