Spiced Apple Butter
Spiced Apple Butter is an easy dinner. Made with 16 c. thick apple pulp, 3/4 c. vinegar (red cider), 8 c. sugar and 4 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Core and slice apples but do not peel.
Add only enough water to cook apples until soft.
Press through a sieve and measure. Combine all ingredients.
Cook until mixture remains in a smooth mass (when a small amount is cooled), about 1 1/2 hours.
During cooking time, stir frequently to prevent burning.
Pour into hot sterilized pint jars and seal.
Makes 8 pints.
