Spice Cake
Spice Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. white lily self-rising flour, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. nutmeg, 1/2 c. shortening (crisco) and 2/3 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Sift together flour and spices.
Cream together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Stir until smooth.
Pour into 2 greased and floured 8-inch pans.
Bake in 350Β° oven about 25 minutes.
Cool in pans for 10 minutes before removing.
