Spanish Coffee Cake
Spanish Coffee Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. flour, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. nutmeg and 3/4 c. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Sift first 4 ingredients together then add brown sugar and oil.
Mix all and remove 3/4 cup for topping.
To this 3/4 cup, add cinnamon and chopped nuts; set aside.
To buttermilk, add soda; stir well, then add egg.
Stir well and add to flour mixture. Pour into 1 9 x 13-inch foil-lined pan.
Sprinkle topping on top of coffee cake and press down a bit.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 to 45 minutes.
