Southwestern Style Chicken
Southwestern Style Chicken is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinned, 1 1/3 c. cheddar cheese, 1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, chopped and drained, 1/4 c. green onions, sliced and 4 slices bacon, cooked crisp, crumbled, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Heat oven to 375Β°.
Place chicken breasts in greased 12 x 8-inch baking pan.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cover with foil; bake 20 minutes.
In medium bowl combine cheese and chilies.
Pat on top of each chicken breast; sprinkle with green onion and bacon.
Return to oven uncovered.
Continue baking 12 to 15 minutes or until chicken is fork tender.
Place on serving plate; top with sour cream and avocado.
