Southern Tea Cakes
Southern Tea Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, sifted, 1/4 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 c. butter, softened and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
Add vanilla, milk and dry ingredients.
Blend well.
Place dough on lightly floured surface.
Sprinkle a little flour over dough and roll to about 1/2-inch thick.
Cut with cookie cutter and place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Prick tops with fork and bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350Β° or until lightly browned on top.
