Made with gal. shelled dry corn, (2 lb.) corn cob ashes (oak ashes can be substituted) and large box baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. You will also need 1 cloth sack and large wash pot.
A wooden frame with 1/4-inch spacing wire (hardware cloth) bottom will be useful for washing husk from corn if you are making this size batch.
Smaller batches can be cleaned by hand.
