Southern Pralines
Southern Pralines is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. milk, 1 (14 oz.) can condensed milk, 5 c. sugar, 5 c. pecans and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Combine milks and sugar in a large heavy saucepan.
Stir until melted.
Add pecans and let the mixture come to a boil.
Boil for 20 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add salt, butter and vanilla. Remove from heat and beat a few more strokes.
Spoon onto waxed paper and let cool.
This recipe can be halved.
