Southern Cream Cookies(5 Dozen)
Southern Cream Cookies(5 Dozen) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 2 c. sugar, 3 well beaten eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 c. sour cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add and mix well eggs, vanilla and sour cream.
This can be the store bought regular or nonfat or the best is soured whipping cream.
Add after mixed together the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
Add nutmeats.
Drop from teaspoon onto lightly sprayed (vegetable oil) cookie sheet.
Spray the bottom of a glass or a cookie press.
Dip into a mixture of 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Press cookies flat.
Bake in moderate oven at 350Β° for 15 minutes.
