Southern Cobbler
Southern Cobbler is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 c. fresh or frozen fruit (blackberries, cherries, blueberries or peaches), 1/8 tsp. salt, pastry for 9-inch pie, 1 tbsp. sugar and 3/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Place fruit in 9-inch square dish.
Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt; mix well and sprinkle over fruit.
Dot with oleo.
Place pastry on top of fruit; trim edge and seal.
Make several slits to allow steam to escape.
Brush pastry with milk; sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 425Β° for 30 minutes.
