Sourdough Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. sugar, 3 tbsp. potato flakes (instant), 1/4 tsp. yeast, 1 c. warm water and 1 1/2 c. warm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

After you have mixed and kneaded, place in a large greased bowl and let rise most of the day, then punch down and divide into 3 parts and shape into loaves.
Place in greased pans and let rise overnight.
The next morning, preheat oven to 375° and let bake 10 minutes.
Reduce to 350°.
Bake until done (usually 25 to 30 minutes).
Turn out on racks to cool.
