Sour Cream Date Dreams
Sour Cream Date Dreams is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. shortening, 3/4 c. brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1 beaten egg and 1 1/4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream sugar, shortening and vanilla.
Add egg and mix well. Sift together dry ingredients.
Add to shortening alternately with sour cream.
Stir in dates.
Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.
Top each with walnut half. Bake at 400Β° for ten minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
