Soul Food is an easy dinner. Made with 1 med. onion diced, 1 green pepper diced, 1 c. tomatoes, if desired, 1/2 head cabbage cut into small pieces and 4 slices bacon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

In a heavy skillet chop bacon and fry until done, but not crisp. Remove from skillet and set aside. Leave 3-4 Tbsp. of bacon drippings in skillet and add green pepper and onion. Cook until onion is clear, then cut cabbage into small pieces and add to skillet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook about 10 minutes. Continuing to stir. Add bacon pieces and cover with lid, simmer about 20 minutes. Add 1 c. tomatoes and heat
