Sonia's Yummy Cake
Sonia'S Yummy Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. butter, 1 lb. powdered sugar, 6 eggs, 4 c. cake flour and 1/4 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Preheat oven to 300°. In large mixing bowl, cream together butter and powdered sugar.
Add eggs and beat again until light and fluffy.
Combine dry ingredients, except nuts, gradually.
Add dry ingredients and vanilla to creamed mixture.
Sprinkle nuts on bottom of lightly greased 9 x 5 x 4 loaf pan.
Pour batter into pan.
Sprinkle nuts on top and bake at 350° for 55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes and then turn out on wire rack to cool.
