Soft Pretzels
Soft Pretzels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. dry yeast, 1 1/2 c. lukewarm water, 3/4 tsp. salt, 1 1/2 tsp. sugar and 4 c. flour (approximately), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
In large bowl, soften yeast in water.
Add salt and sugar. Mix in flour and knead to make a soft, smooth dough.
Do not let rise.
Cut into long thin pieces and make into pretzel shape.
Put on cookie sheet covered with foil and dusted with flour.
Brush pretzels with beaten egg and cover with coarse salt.
Bake at 400Β° for 15 minutes, or until light brown.
