Soft Pretzels
Soft Pretzels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. or cake yeast, 1 1/2 c. lukewarm water, 3/4 tsp. salt, 1 1/2 tsp. sugar and 4 c. flour (approximately), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Soak yeast in water in large bowl; add salt and sugar.
Mix in flour to form soft and smooth dough.
Do not let rise.
Cut into small pieces.
With floured hands, roll into ropes and twist into pretzel shape.
Place on cookie sheet covered with foil and dusted with flour.
Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with salt.
Bake at 400Β° for 15 minutes or until lightly brown.
Makes 3 to 6 dozen.
