Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter flavor crisco, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Preheat oven to 400°.
Cream butter Crisco, 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs and vanilla thoroughly in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer.
Blend flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
Stir into creamed mixture.
Shape into 1-inch balls. Combine remaining 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon.
Roll balls of dough in this mixture.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 400° for 7 to 8 minutes.
Remove to cooling racks.
