Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. soft shortening or oleo, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 3/4 c. sifted flour and 2 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix shortening, sugar and eggs.
Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
Stir into creamed mixture.
Chill (if necessary) and roll into balls (smaller than walnuts).
Roll in a mixture of 2 teaspoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Bake at 375Β° for 8 to 10 minutes, until light brown, but soft.
Makes 5 dozen.
