Sliced Tongue
Sliced Tongue is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 qt. water, 1/2 tbsp. butter, 1/2 onion, 1 lemon (juice) and 1/2 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Boil the tongue in water until tender.
Remove from liquid, skin and cut into slices.
Melt butter in a pan, add onion and fry over slow fire until yellow.
Add the boiling liquid, season with salt, pepper, juice of lemon, sugar and flour mixed with a little water.
Add the sliced tongue and boil about 15 to 20 minutes.
