Shrimp Creole
Shrimp Creole is an impressive dinner. Made with 3/4 c. chopped onion, 1/2 c. chopped green pepper, 1/2 c. thinly sliced celery, 1 clove garlic, minced and 3 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In a 10-inch skillet saute onion, green pepper, celery and garlic in butter for 6 to 8 minutes until limp.
Stir in flour. Stir in rosemary and thyme, tomatoes and juice, water, tomato paste, bay leaf and hot pepper sauce.
Stirring, bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally for 15 minutes.
Remove bay leaf and discard.
