Shrimp Creole
Shrimp Creole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. onion, chopped, 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped, 1/4 c. bacon fat, 2 c. tomato juice and 1/2 c. mushroom pieces, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Brown onion and green pepper in melted fat.
Add tomato juice, mushrooms and seasonings.
Cover and simmer for one hour.
Add shrimp and cook for 30 minutes longer.
Thicken with paste made from flour and 1/2 cup water.
