Shrimp Creole
Shrimp Creole is an impressive American dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 46 minutes. Made with c. chopped onion, c. chopped celery, green onions, chopped, minced garlic and c. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Melt butter in skillet.
Add onions, celery, green pepper and garlic.
Cook until onions are tender.
Remove from heat.
Add tomato sauce, water and seasoning and stir.
Return to heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
May add additional water if needed.
Stir in shrimp and heat to boiling.
Cover and reduce heat to medium and cook 10 to 20 minutes or until shrimp are pink and tender.
Serve over hot cooked rice.
