Sfinge
Sfinge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 large eggs, 1 c. water, 2 c. sifted flour, 2 tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Beat eggs and water together until thoroughly blended.
Sift dry ingredients together and stir into eggs.
Cover and set aside in a warm place for 1 1/2 hours.
Heat 2 cups of oil to a boil. Drop 1 tablespoon of batter at a time into the oil.
Cook only 3 sfinge at a time, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Drain on paper towel and roll into sugar while still hot.
Makes 2 dozen.
