Seven Minute Frosting
Seven Minute Frosting is an easy dinner. Made with 1 egg white (unbeaten), 7/8 c. granulated sugar, 3 tbsp. cold water, 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1/4 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Put first 3 ingredients in top of double boiler.
Place over boiling water; beat with beater for 7 minutes or until thick. Take from fire, add flavoring.
Beat until thick and nearly cold; add baking powder.
Continue to beat until thick enough to spread on cake without running.
Sufficient for a loaf or 2-layer cake.
