Seven Layer Casserole
Seven Layer Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. uncooked long grain white rice, 1 c. canned whole kernel corn, drained, 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce, 1/2 c. finely chopped onion and 1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Preheat oven to moderate (350Β°). Place above ingredients in a 2-quart baking dish with tight-fitting lid.
Layer ingredients in this order: rice, corn, sprinkle of salt and pepper, 1 can tomato sauce, 4 ounces water, chopped onion, chopped green pepper, ground beef, sprinkle of salt and pepper again, second can of tomato sauce, 2 ounces water and cover with bacon strips, cut in half. Bake, covered, one hour.
Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer, until bacon is crisp.
Makes 6 servings.
