Seafood Soup
A creamy stovetop seafood chowder with imitation crab, milk, and a whisper of mace. Quick, comforting, and budget-friendly.

Saute onion and garlic.
Remove from saucepan.
Add margarine and flour to make a pale roux.
Slowly whisk in milk.
Add onion mixture, crab meat and remaining seasonings.
Cook over low heat 15 to 20 minutes to blend flavors.
Makes 4 to 6 servings. Reheats well.
Can be frozen.
Can be made with skim milk.
Great with a green salad for a light dinner.
