Scripture Cake
Scripture Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. judges 5:25 (last clause; oleo or butter), 2 c. jeremiah 6:20 (sugar), 2 tbsp. 1 samuel 14:25 (honey), 6 jeremiah 17:11 (eggs) and 1 1/2 c. 1 kings 4:22 (flour), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Beat together oleo, sugar and honey.
Add beaten egg yolks (6 yolks beaten until light).
Add sifted mixture of flour, baking powder, spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.) and salt, plus 1/2 cup milk.
Add 1 cup chopped figs or dates, 1 cup nuts (chopped) and 1 cup chopped raisins.
Fold in 6 egg whites (beaten stiff).
Bake in tube or Bundt pan at 300Β° for 2 hours.
