Scrapple
Scrapple is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 lb. sausage, cooked, 5 c. cold water, 1 1/2 c. yellow corn meal, 1 tbsp. salt and 1 tsp. poultry seasoning, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Simmer sausage and onion in water, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Stir in corn meal gradually.
Add seasonings, stirring constantly. Simmer 10 minutes more, stirring occasionally. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans.
Chill until firm.
Tip out and slice into 1/4-inch thick slices.
Fry in hot oil until brown on both sides. Serve topped with syrup or salsa.
