Scotch Toffies
Scotch Toffies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. rolled oats (uncooked, regular or quick), 2/3 c. melted margarine, 1 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. dark corn syrup or honey and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Pour melted margarine over rolled oats.
Mix thoroughly.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Pack down firmly into well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350° (300° in glass) for about 25 minutes until mixture is a rich brown color and bubbling. Remove from oven; cool slightly in pan, then cut into squares and remove.
(If toffies harden before they are cut, reheat slightly.) Makes 24 squares.
