Scotch Shortbread is an easy dinner. Made with 3/4 lb. salted butter, softened, 1 c. confectioners sugar and 3 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
👨🍳 Instructions
Set oven slow at 300° to 325°.
Cream butter.
Add sugar gradually; beat until fluffy.
Sift flour into creamed mixture thoroughly; blend, using hands.
Press into oblong cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil.
Prick surface with fork.
Bake in preheated oven for about 1/2 hour, or until firm when pressed gently in center.
Should be only light brown.
