The night before, lay out bread slices to dry.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.

In the water, cook onions and celery with salt and pepper to taste until tender.

Tear dried bread into one-inch pieces and put in large bowl.

Pour water/onion/celery mixture and the beaten eggs into the bread pieces and mix well.

Pour in broth and mix again.
