Scandinavian Almond Cake
Scandinavian Almond Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. pure almond extract, 1 stick butter or margarine, melted, 1/2 tsp. baking powder and 1 egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
This cake is usually baked in a special grooved pan which is about 4 inches across and 11 inches long; it resembles a thick tube which has been cut lengthwise.
Cream egg and sugar well; add flavoring and milk and beat well.
Mix in flour and baking powder; add melted butter.
Mix all ingredients well.
Spray pan with Pam or cooking spray.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 to 50 minutes.
Edges must be golden brown.
Cool in pan before removing.
Cake will break if removed too soon.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
