Scalloped Turnips
Scalloped Turnips is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. thinly sliced turnips, 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. paprika and 1 thinly sliced onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Mix flour, salt and paprika.
Dredge thinly sliced turnips in mixture.
Place in buttered 9 x 13-inch baking pan in even layer. Top with sliced onions, then turnips and continue until all are layered.
Dot each layer with bits of butter.
Heat milk on stove until hot, not boiling.
Pour milk over turnips.
Top with Parmesan cheese.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 1/2 hour, covered with aluminum foil.
Take off foil and bake 30 to 45 minutes more, until golden on top.
