Scalloped Oysters(Microwave) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 (12 oz.) cans fresh oysters, drained, 1/2 lb. crackers (2 pkg.), 1 pt. half and half cream, 2 tbsp. plain flour and 2 sticks butter, sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Add flour to cream and stir until well dissolved.
Generously grease microwave-safe casserole dish (button and sides) with butter.
Cover bottom of casserole with a third of the crackers which have been crumbled by hand.
Add one layer of oysters.
Pour half of the cream mixture over oysters.
Add salt, pepper, garlic powder and sliced butter.
Repeat process by making another layer as listed.
Cover well with a layer of crumbled crackers, sliced butter, salt and pepper.
(You should judge the amount of salt by the saltiness of the oysters.)
Sprinkle with paprika and Parmesan cheese.
Microwave (Medium-high) for 15 minutes, rotating at 5 minute intervals.
