Savory Pot Roast
Savory Pot Roast is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. vegetable oil, 3 1/2 to 4 lb. beef roast or chuck beef roast, 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup, 1 packet dry onion soup and 1 1/4 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Heat oil in large kettle, then brown meat on all sides.
Spoon off fat.
Stir in mushroom soup, onion soup mix and 1 cup water. Reduce heat to low.
Cover and cook 2 hours.
Add vegetables, cover and cook 45 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
Remove meat and vegetables.
Stir together flour and remaining 1/4 cup water until smooth.
Gradually stir into soup mixture and thicken, stirring constantly.
Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
