Sausage Stuffed French Bread
Sausage Stuffed French Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. hot sausage, 1/2 c. onion, chopped, 1 c. celery, chopped, 1 loaf french bread and 1/2 tsp. sage, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cook sausage until pink is gone.
Add onion and celery. Cook until tender sausage is brown.
Slice bread lengthwise and remove insides shell.
Combine pulled bread, seasonings and cooked sausage mixture.
Add eggs and milk; toss with stuffing to mix well.
Mound onto halves of bread shell and brush with melted butter.
Place on a cookie sheet and bake in a 400Β° oven for 20 minutes.
Remove and add grated cheese; return to oven for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Remove place halves together. and serve.
