Sausage Rolls
Sausage Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 lb. italian sausage (hot, sweet or both), 1/2 c. apple juice, 1/4 c. romano cheese, 2 tsp. parsley flakes and 1/4 tsp. oregano, crumbled, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 375Β°.
Grease a large cookie sheet.
Remove meat from casings.
Brown meat in large skillet, stirring to break into small pieces.
Drain off fat.
Pour in juice.
Cover.
Simmer 15 minutes.
Drain off liquid.
Stir in cheese, parsley and oregano.
Remove from heat.
Roll out dough on lightly floured surface to 16 x 6-inch rectangle.
Brush with half the melted butter.
Sprinkle sausage mixture over dough.
Roll up from long end jelly roll fashion.
Pinch lightly along long seam to seal. Cut crosswise in 8 equal pieces.
Pinch ends tightly to seal. Brush rolls with melted butter.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
